Location: Missouri Baptist Medical Center 3015 N Ballas Rd, St. Louis, MO 63131 Main Hospital Entrance Auditorium 2 & 3. Please park in the C garage or the north lot. 

Break:  We will furnish snacks and hot tea. Please bring your own water bottles as we are honoring the earth's health. There is a water fountain on site.

 

Professional reflexology is the application of specific techniques to apply pressure to specific areas (reflexes) of the feet and hands. The purpose is to identify deposits and congestion in the tissue that inhibits optimal function. Reflexology continues to be one of the most preferred forms of bodywork and it popularity is increasing because it offers results quickly. These techniques work by rebalancing our disrupted energy system. Prior knowledge of reflexology is not necessary to benefit from this class. Topics covered in this highly experiential class include:

 

• Step-by-step instruction in how to locate reflexes in the feet with accuracy.
• Step-by-step instruction in basic techniques to less deposits and congestion.
• Applications for cancer care, PTSD, and other health challenges.
• Origins and theory of reflexology: how and why it works.
• Easy and effective hand reflexology techniques to soothe

 

Tip: Bringing a personal copy of

Therapeutic Reflexology by Paula Stone

 (available online) to class is not required,

but highly beneficial to gain the most from this class.

The book is 400+ pages and has hundreds of color photos.

 

Instructor: Paula S. Stone is Director of The Stone Institute LLC in St Charles, MO. She authored Therapeutic Reflexology (published by Pearson Education), and numerous articles on reflexology and natural healing. Her work has appeared in the AMTA Journal, Massage & Bodywork Magazine, Reflexology Today, and other publications. Her articles have been published in Europe and Japan. She has written and taught classes to advance wellness since 1979. Paula, a reiki master and professional aromatherapist (NAHA), is a nationally certified in both massage (ABMP)and reflexology (ARCB). She has received numerous awards in recognition of her contributions to the field of reflexology.
