Course Objectives:
The learner will be able to:
- Explore qualities and self-care needs of a Healing Touch Practitioner.
- Discuss the facets of Healing Touch and correlate techniques that support physical, mental, emotional, and/or spiritual healing.
- Demonstrate Healing Presence: the ability to remain grounded, present, and heart-centered.
- Describe personal perceptions of subtle energy/heart-centeredness.
- Apply the Healing Touch Framework to a variety of energy interventions.
- Evaluate the seven energy centers (chakras) and related energy layers that surround the body.
- Describe rationale with use of specific Healing Touch techniques.
- Discuss the Healing Beyond Borders Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice and Scope of Practice required of a beginning Healing Touch student.
Course Description
The theoretical concepts which underlie holistic healthcare practices are explored along with how they relate to the core values which guide the practice of Healing Touch. Healing Touch techniques used in the etheric field are acquired along with an understanding of how they interface with the human biofield.

Instructor Bio and Disclosure:
Margaret RN, HN, CHTP/I, Certified Holistic Aroma-therapist. She is in private practice and on staff at Nazareth Living Center using integrative therapies of Healing Touch, Aromatherapy and guided imagery. Margaret has facilitated many healing circles over the last 30 years; She is on the Palliative Care Committee at Nazareth Living Center. She has completed: The Integrative Healing Arts Program for Holistic Nurses. She is Vice President the BOD of Healing Touch St. Louis and a member of Heling Beyond Borders, American Holistic Nurses Association and the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy.
Jeanne is a practicing Certified Holistic R.N. and Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Instructor. She is a member of the Integrative Medicine Department at Mercy Hospital St. Louis providing Healing Touch for in-patients. Jeanne has served as past President of the BOD of Healing Touch St. Louis and treasurer of the BOD of Healing Beyond Borders. She is an active member of Healing Beyond Borders, American Holistic Nurses’ Association, and Healing Touch St. Louis.
